Bone Cell Transplantation

Autologous Osteoblast Transplantation

A special cell culture procedure allows isolation and propagation of healthy bone cells from operatively obtained bone biopsies. Subsequently, propagated patient-own bone cells are transplanted back into the bone defect. This method is called Autologous Osteoblast Transplantation (AOT).

In comparison to conventional methods, Autologous Osteoblast Transplantation allows the regeneration of patient-own bone tissue that is pressure-stable and loadable as well as comparable to healthy bone tissue.

The novel co.don® product promotes bone formation and its integration into the
surrounding healthy bone by transplantation of patient-own autologous cultured osteoblasts.
