Almost every peolpe will be catched by back pain at least once in their life. There are different causes, some of them  may have age dependent reasons.

A herniated disk is usually the most common reason for back pain, especially by men amoung 30 to 50 years.

Older people usually also suffer from arthritis and ossification of the intervertebral joints or onward stenosis of the spinal canal.

Furthermore, bad posture, genetic factors or psychosomatic problems may cause back pain.
