This website provides information about the business field of CO.DON GmbH, which has taken over the business operations from CO.DON AG.

CO.DON has developed a procedure that enables the treatment of cartilage defects with the body's own cells. The personalised cell therapies consist of three-dimensional cartilage cell implants and aim to regenerate damaged cartilage tissue and thus preserve the affected joint or cartilage. The cartilage cell implants are produced individually for each patient. The treatment is carried out using the method of cartilage cell implantation (matrix-associated autologous chondrocyte implantation, ACI-M).
Autologous cartilage cell implantation is a surgical method for the regenerative treatment of cartilage defects. Three-dimensional cell implants are manufactured from previously removed cartilage cells and the patient's own serum, which are then reintroduced into the defect during a second operation. After implantation they gradually form new cartilage tissue. For further information visit our Therapy page.
Our cartilage cell therapies is a prescription-only pharmaceuticals. As a manufacturer of pharmaceutical products, we are not allowed to provide detailed information due to legal regulations.
